Paintings created in Acrylic
Acrylics are the perfect medium for realistic style paintings. You will love the glow that seems to radiate from within the eyes or the soft look of the fur. And there can be a simple and nondescript background that doesn’t distract from the main subject, your pet, but rather complimenting it perfectly.
When I started my journey into the world of color, I quickly fell in love with Acrylics paints. And why wouldn’t I? The brilliant colors, the endless color mixing and glazing options, the forgiving attitude when I want to make big changes at any given stage and of course the fast drying times are making it such a fabulous medium to work with. A smooth layer of paint with no visible brush strokes and the satin sheen of varnish, protecting a painting you will still enjoy in years to come.
Like with my Graphite work, I only work with materials that have stood the tests of time. I paint on Ampersand board, a surface I had to import from the USA until very recently and the paints I use are Windsor&Newton Artist Acrylics.
