This is a painting of a stag in all its beauty. Lit by the early morning sun, on one of those glorious autumn days.
The painting is titled, rather fittingly, Mr. Majestic. It is painted on Ambersand board in Winsor&Newton acrylic paints. The painting itself is 18 inch by 14 inch.

One autumn morning we were on the road early. It is the same road we always take. But this morning was different. The already narrow country road got all of a sudden a lot tighter. A red deer male came bouncing out of the shadows of a hedgerow and very nearly ended up on the side of our car! Thankfully both car and the red deer escaped unharmed. But this moment left me buzzing with amazement for days. It was my first local encounter with any deer and I have lived here for over 20 years. I came home and started this painting on the very same day.
